James Percival-Cooke

I am an ILCA 7 sailor who is part of the British Sailing Squad campaigning for the Olympic Games 2028 which will be held in Los Angeles.  Having worked my way through the Royal Yachting Associations Junior, Youth and U21 National programs I have now reached the pinnacle of Olympic Sailing representing Great Britain at a number of major International Regattas as part of a select group of athletes in the British Sailing Squad.

VISIBLE BRANDING

Company logos can be put on my equipment that will be used at World and European championships along with many other international regattas and National events over each year.  Logos can also be placed on clothing worn at events and clothing worn out on the water on wetsuits and buoyancy aids to give some examples.  These logos will be visible on photos that will be used in various social media posts not only by myself but also by organisations such as British Sailing and in other forms of publicity such as newspapers and broadcasts.  This will create brand awareness in many places from potential customers seeing your brand ‘in situ’ at events but also on different media platforms.  Attached below is a diagram of where the logos can be placed on the boat, this can be either on the sail or hull or both!  Logos can be placed anywhere outlined in red on the diagram below, meaning plenty of space for the brands to stand out on photos and videos.  I have also attached two photos of where a current sponsor has placed branding on the equipment, the size of the logo can also be bigger than pictured to stand out more.

Currently, I am in the process of having an article in the EDP (newspaper) about my story and what my goals and ambitions are over the next Olympic cycles which would be a great opportunity for your business to be publicly associated with me.  My social media accounts are growing with more interactivity than before, which is where we can build a visible relationship with each other publicly which the public will also be able to see and revisit.  On the majority of posts, you will be mentioned and tagged with the branding on photos being clear, so it is clear you are a vital part of my journey.  I also have a website that you will be able to interact with through having your logo and a constant mention in blogs and updates to help promote your business to supporters and the general public.

PROMOTION OF YOUR COMPANY AND ITS PRODUCT

Not only will I be able to promote you on social media online, but I will also be able to promote you and talk about your brand at events Nationally and Internationally.  In the sport of sailing, I am also involved in the more professional sailing industry and yacht racing of which there is a huge opportunity for your brand to be utilized by sponsoring large events to put your brand on the map in the marine industry.  I would be able to liaise with wealthy boat owners, event organisers and other useful contacts who you may collaborate with to help place your brand in key areas of the industry to stimulate sales and promotion.  Additionally, to this, I would be able to expand your client base by promoting your brand to individual customers who would be very interested in your products due to the interaction I have with a large proportion of your target market.
